And apart from do not cross your grandma, also do not buy matches from little girls who's wearing branded clothings.

:)

Yingzi, Jadetofu:
You're right in pointing out that the points of the original story are about a little girl's predicament and a dying child's hallucinations. Every time I come across The Little Match Girl story, I'm always moved by the ending, in a sad way. That's why I've never thought it's a suitable bedtime story for young children. Although, I'm not saying it's not a good story.

Also, I'm not saying following her dead grandmother to the other world was not the best way for her to go. Maybe she had done all she could. But was that the best way?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Much appreciated.Buzzing Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13011996490429251383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-822355478515151453.post-16742180279304530022009-03-18T22:49:00.000+08:002009-03-18T22:49:00.000+08:00I have to agree with Yingzi. You missed the point ...I have to agree with Yingzi. You missed the point of the original story. The story is about a dying child's hallucinations, and how she fought until the last match. It wasn't about giving up, but rather it was hope that kept her going until the very end. Still that's your opinion and I respect that. Just giving two cents on the moral of the story from my point of view. Cheers.Jadetofuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10301170808217310857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-822355478515151453.post-68809964668159340892009-03-18T22:02:00.000+08:002009-03-18T22:02:00.000+08:00Oh gosh,I hated the starting already. The moral of the story for the Little Match Girl was to tell people how poor people were back then, and how children dying of hunger in winter can have hallucination.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-822355478515151453.post-40309995070640185712009-03-18T16:53:00.000+08:002009-03-18T16:53:00.000+08:00Oh I forgot the moral of your version is never cro...Oh I forgot the moral of your version is never cross your grandma or else you'd get a slap on the face. lolInsanely Chay is....https://www.blogger.com/profile/12044924386196267015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-822355478515151453.post-15767948737917170712009-03-18T16:52:00.000+08:002009-03-18T16:52:00.000+08:00Oh wow I don't even remember the story of the Litt...Oh wow I don't even remember the story of the Little Match Girl let alone the moral of the story heheheh but I was really laughing at this version.
